Long [i:] Sound


In this lesson, we’re going to look at the Long E [i:] vowel sound (as used in the words heat, speak, and receive). This sound is easier than Short [i] because it is commonly found in a lot of other languages. How about yours?
Even if you are comfortable with this sound, don’t skip this lesson because the practice here will help you with the lesson when we contrast both Long [i:] (keys) and Short [i] (kiss). Here is the lesson.
