- I’ve been worried sick about it.
Describing the effects
- I can’t concentrate on anything.
- I can’t think straight.
- I couldn’t sleep last night.
- I can’t help thinking about it.
- It’s been on my mind all day.
- It’s been keeping me awake at night.
- I’ve got butterflies in my stomach.
How to help a worrier!
- Stop worrying about it!
- Stop thinking about it!
- Stop talking nonsense!
- Stop fretting!
- Why don’t you go for a run or something?
- Worrying about it won’t help!

Expressing relief
- Phew!
